Tiger conservation project
This research has been conducted in collaboration with the WildTeam and Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology.
The research project is investigating tiger poaching in the Bangladesh Sundarbans. Not much is known about poaching, trade and consumption of tiger parts in Bangladesh (Ahmad et al. 2009). The recent arrests with tiger parts and cubs in Bangladesh indicate that the Sundarbans tigers are not safe from the snares of the poachers.
